Who We Are

About

Design Décor N GLO (DDNG) was founded with inspiration, passion and a creative vision: Provide creative quality service, honesty, customer care and excellence. What started as a small idea has grown into a business dedicated to serving customers with unique innovative services applied to weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, birthdays, special events, customized diaper cakes and backdrop draping.

It all started in 2019, when Kathyla Lightfoot formed a small business creating baby cakes, wreaths and later incorporated backdrop draping. Through visualization and taking a leap of faith, her passion for creating more decorative designs for various special events and other services came to life. With that determination, hard work, and a deep passion for highlighting celebrations, the business expanded.

Inspired by Family and Support

A primary source of inspiration behind this business journey was my mother, Evangelist Myrtle Dixon. She was consistent with her prayers for myself and business as well as quoting the scripture Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.” Through her instruction, I also gained the skill of making wreaths. This guidance, encouragement, and spiritual belief promoted the importance of perseverance that helped shape both me and my business, Design Décor N Glo (DDNG). My forever love for Mom/Evangelist Myrtle, may her soul rest in peace.

I thank God and I’m grateful for the other family members who have supported the launching of DDNG. Their support, encouragement, advice, and hands-on-help contributed to making a desired idea come to fruition. Thanks to son Du’an & wife Felicia for being large supporters, brother Tony & wife Lenora for their prayers and encouragement, sister Angie and brother Frank & wife Melinda for their encouragement.

Payment Terms: A 50% deposit is required to reserve your event and begin preparation. The remaining 50% is due 2 weeks before your event.

The deposit secures your event and allows us to purchase materials. The deposit is non-refundable.
